National Sports Day 2026

IQ City Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Durgapur, celebrated National Sports Day 2026 on 28th August 2026 from 3:00 PM onwards at the IQ City Sports Ground with great enthusiasm and sporting spirit. The celebration was organized with the objective of promoting physical fitness, teamwork, discipline, sportsmanship, and a healthy lifestyle among the students and faculty members. The programme was organized under the inspiring theme “Khelega Bharat, Jitega Bharat”, reflecting the importance of sports and physical activities in building a healthy, energetic, disciplined, and confident nation. The celebration provided an excellent platform for strengthening the bond between faculty members and students through active participation in a friendly sporting event. The major highlight of the programme was a friendly football match between the Faculty Team and the Students’ Team. The Faculty Team was led by Mr. Saptarshi Mandal, Faculty, IQIPS, while the Students’ Team was captained by Mr. Sandip Mal, B. Pharm, 4th Year. The football match was played with tremendous enthusiasm, energy, and a strong sense of sportsmanship. Both teams displayed remarkable coordination, determination, and team spirit throughout the match. The event created an atmosphere of excitement and camaraderie, with students and faculty members coming together to celebrate the true spirit of sports. After a spirited and competitive match, the Students’ Team emerged as the winner, under the able leadership of Mr. Sandip Mal, B. Pharm, 4th Year. The Faculty Team, led by Mr. Saptarshi Mandal, also demonstrated commendable sporting spirit and contributed significantly to making the event enjoyable and memorable. The celebration successfully conveyed the message that participation in sports is essential for the holistic development of individuals. The event encouraged students to maintain physical fitness, develop leadership qualities, cultivate discipline, and understand the values of teamwork, perseverance, and fair play. The programme concluded on a positive and enthusiastic note, leaving behind memorable moments of unity and friendship between the faculty members and students. The celebration of National Sports Day 2026 at IQ City Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Durgapur, was a successful and meaningful initiative that truly embodied the spirit of “Khelega Bharat, Jitega Bharat.”
